I had version 6 installed but it was taking too long to scan.ĭowngraded to version 5 (uninstall 6 and install 5). I tried uninstall using included uninstaller, manual cleanups etc. I get the error message and installation stops. Installer gives me error message right after it starts “Validation of packages or something”. I didn't investigate further why this happened, maybe Eset support staff can review, it looks like the installer wasn't able to use the Temporary directory? Run ONYX utility and all the maintenance tools and reboot.
